About

Dr. Courtney is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist, based in New York City. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, as well as the Clinical Director of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program for Adolescents at the Mount Sinai Morningside Child and Family Institute. Prior to working at Mount Sinai, she completed her APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship and internship at Northwell Health, where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment settings. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology at St. John's University, with clinical work specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents, and doctoral research focused on emerging adulthood. She completed her BA at New York University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in psychology and minors in sociology and child and adolescent mental health studies.
